Learning to drive in Sheffield
Sheffield is one of the more demanding places in the country to learn to drive, and that is genuinely good news once you have passed. The city is built across a set of steep valleys, so hill starts, clutch control and holding the car on a gradient are not a single lesson tucked in near the end — they are part of how you learn from the beginning.
Beyond the hills, the city throws in a mix you will not get everywhere: sections where the Supertram shares road space with traffic around the city centre and out towards Attercliffe, the multi-lane inner ring road, and the Sheffield Parkway for building confidence at dual carriageway speeds. Learn here and quieter towns feel easy afterwards.
We teach in both manual and automatic cars and pick up from home, work or college anywhere in the city. Lessons are one or two hours, and the hourly rate drops as soon as you book a package.
